They needed a system to send out quotations and manage the entire sales lifecycle on the go — from lead generation to quotation, sales order, invoicing (including e-Invoice and e-Way bill), and payment receipts. Parshwa Furniture had experimented with Zoho CRM and other local CRM cum ERP solutions but were dissatisfied, especially with the quotation templates. They were using a custom Excel-based quotation template, which was crucial for closing more business compared to standard templates. However, it was incompatible with online tools, complicating quote generation from mobile devices. Generating e-Way bills on the go was challenging as it required a laptop or desktop, limiting mobility. The Indian government mandates electronically generated documents for goods movement exceeding Rs. 50,000, necessitating a reliable solution. At the start of their software transformation journey, Parshwa Furniture relied on multiple software solutions, including Zoho, local Excel sheets for quotations, and Tally for end-to-end accounting. After thoroughly reviewing their end-to-end software needs, we recommended Odoo ERP, focusing on inventory, sales, accounting, and other relevant apps. Approximately 85% of their business workflows could be handled with standard Odoo Apps, while the remaining 15% required minor customization. - Analyzed departmental workflows and mapped them with Odoo Apps and best practices. - Set up inventory, sales, manufacturing, projects/tasks/timesheet, accounting, and other relevant Odoo Apps. - Configured product catalog with descriptions, images, attributes/variants, different pricing, HSN codes, reordering rules, etc. - Created six different user types with relevant permissions to access the Odoo Web and Mobile Applications. - Established four main groups: Admin (all rights), Sales (sales rights with visibility to own data), Accounting (access to sales and accounting apps), and general users (rights for their created or assigned data). - Configured these features through Odoo IAP services, ensuring compliance with India’s e-Way Bill requirements by setting up billing and shipping addresses for every invoice. - Migrated real product categories, SKUs, inventory, manufacturing areas, and employee data before going live. - The client’s primary decision-making point was the need for a custom quotation template that no standard solution could offer.
